My work is to join my clients on a journey to find healing and stability in their lives. I endeavor to create a space where my clients feel safe enough to be vulnerable with not just me, but more importantly, with themselves. I seek to understand and empathize with the stories my clients hold, while encouraging them to continue to write their own story.
I am trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, I am a registered play therapist, I hold a certificate in addiction counseling, and I have completed EMDR Basic Training. While I utilize multiple interventions for trauma, my counseling orientation if first and foremost client-led. I believe that the client/therapist relationship is paramount to the healing process.
I graduated from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology with my Masters in Counseling Psychology. I’ve worked in community mental health with youth and families to encourage healing from housing instability, addiction, domestic violence, and trauma. I am an advocate for contextual healing with respect to culture, ethnicity, gender identity, and sexual orientation.
This is your journey you're inviting me on. I consider it an honor to be present with you along the way, and a sacred responsibility to support you in finding wholeness.
